秋游活动总结 - 留学生版
By the LXS Team
Welcome to our special edition of fall outings, tailored specifically for our international student community! Here’s a rundown of seven unique and memorable experiences that brought us closer together, taught us new things about Chinese culture, and helped us make the most of our time abroad. Let’s dive in!
1. The Great Wall Hike: A Journey Through History
Our first adventure took us to the majestic Great Wall of China. As we trekked along its ancient stones, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe and respect for this incredible feat of engineering. It was a perfect blend of physical activity and cultural exploration, complete with breathtaking views and lots of photo opportunities. Plus, we learned some fascinating facts about the wall's history and construction from our guide, which made the experience even more enriching.
2. Harvest Festival at a Local Orchard: Apples, Pumpkins, and Fun
Next up, we visited a nearby orchard to celebrate the harvest season. This was a delightful change of pace from city life. We picked apples, carved pumpkins, and enjoyed traditional autumn snacks like apple cider and pumpkin pie. It was a great way to connect with nature and each other, and to gain a deeper appreciation for the local agricultural traditions.
3. Chinese Calligraphy Workshop: Brushing Up on Our Skills
This indoor activity was a favorite among those looking to develop a new skill or deepen their understanding of Chinese art. Led by a professional calligrapher, we learned the basics of brush writing, including how to hold the brush correctly and create different strokes. By the end of the session, we had our own beautiful calligraphy pieces to take home, a tangible reminder of our cultural immersion.
4. Tea Tasting Tour: Sipping Our Way Through Chinese Culture
For our tea lovers, this tour was an absolute treat. We visited a traditional tea house where we sampled various types of Chinese tea and learned about the history and brewing techniques associated with each one. From green tea to pu-erh, it was a fascinating journey through flavors and aromas, accompanied by light snacks and engaging conversation.
5. DIY Mooncake Making: Crafting Delicious Treats
Just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival, we rolled up our sleeves and got creative in the kitchen. Under the guidance of a local chef, we learned how to make mooncakes, a traditional Chinese pastry filled with sweet lotus seed paste and sometimes salted egg yolks. Not only was it incredibly fun, but we also got to enjoy our homemade creations, which were absolutely delicious!
6. Night Market Exploration: A Feast for the Senses
To cap off our fall adventures, we hit the bustling night markets of Beijing. These vibrant marketplaces were a feast for the senses, offering everything from exotic street food to quirky souvenirs. We tried all sorts of local delicacies, played games, and shopped for unique gifts. It was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in the local culture and get a taste of everyday life in China.
7. Reflections and Learnings: What We Took Away
Reflecting on our experiences, it’s clear that these activities not only provided fun and entertainment but also deepened our understanding of Chinese culture and strengthened our bonds as a community. From the historical significance of the Great Wall to the intricate art of calligraphy, every outing offered something valuable. We’re already looking forward to our next set of adventures!
