Chapter 1: A Leap of Faith into the Unknown

When I first decided to embark on a teaching abroad adventure, I was equal parts excited and terrified. You see, stepping out of my comfort zone is not something I'm naturally inclined to do. But there was something about the idea of sharing knowledge and making a difference that just felt right. So, with a backpack full of books and a heart full of hope, I set off for a small village in rural China. The first few days were a whirlwind of emotions—jet lag, culture shock, and a language barrier that seemed insurmountable.
